Cell & RP Marketing Pvt Ltd are working together to develop a vehicle air purifier. At present a variety of air freshener products are available in the market such as liquid wick products, solid air treating agents and aerosols. Air fresheners in general are consisting of adsorbents, oxidizers, surfactants, disinfectants and fragrances, aerosol propellants, preservatives and solvents. However, a report issued by the Bureau Européen des Unions de Consommateurs (BEUC) found that many air freshener products emit allergens and toxic air pollutants including benzene, formaldehyde, terpenes, styrene, phthalate esters, and toluene. Further in most of the products available in the market the scent is not long lasting. Therefore, it is necessary to produce an air freshener which is chemically safe with lasting effects.

The research work has started in late February 2019. The team had several discussions with the representatives of RP Marketing Pvt Ltd to discuss the future plans as well as to get the feedback from the company and to understand the customer requirements and to align the research work with the customer requirement. This project is ended in March, 2020. The team met the owner and had a discussion on how to commercialize the product and handover the final report to the company.
