Training session on Patent search was conducted by Prof. D.T.U. Abeytunga, Ms. Shuraiya Amath with ten participants from the Department of Chemistry, Department of Physics and Department of Nuclear Sciences on January 25, 2017. This was the third activity done by the Cell after signing the MOU as a TISC center. This session was more focused on patent databases and prior art search and it was organized in order to improve the patent search ability of young researchers at the aforementioned departments. As the TISC center for the Faculty of Science Cell will continue these type of activities to improve the awareness among the students, researchers and the academics regarding the Intellectual Property matter.
